Current problems


This is a short summary about what situational problems (from the author's point of view) may seem unexpected and disappointing for users, and, if so, then better to describe them beforehand.

TL;DR
1.The development is slow.
2.The game is not quite finished.
3.My English is not perfect.

Problem #1. As for August 2, 2018, the user's attention remains negligible. Without it I can't give regular time to further development. The work on "Heartbeat" remains my main occupation no matter what, yet the everyday routine requires, demands to distract, to pay attention constantly. And it is constantly receiving a higher priority in to-do list comparing with work on next update, sometimes resulting in one week and half without even brief touching to unfinished chapters. On new Patreon page of the project there is more or less detailed statement, how I expect the work situation will change as the project auditory will grow (the "Goals" or "Financial goals" list).
Right now (August 2018) expected development speed is 3-4 updates per year, almost entirely text- and plot-oriented.

Problem #2. The game is not finished: it is playable, it can be played from the very beginning and to one of numerous endings, but still there's plenty of unwritten content. All in all, this is another "eternal alpha". Is this a problem indeed? I would like to present the thing when it's ready, until the last cog not fits on its proper place. But I can't: when the work was not published and only several my friends commented on it from time to time, weeks of delay tended to turn into months, while the game itself was gently suggesting "come on, just write me on some usb, put the stick inside your table, place a file or two on top, and that'll be it. Finish and relief. Ok?" No. Not ok.

Problem #3 (warning for English-speaking users). Лет ми спик фром май харт: English language is not my native language, not even language of my childhood. While not having resources to order a professional translation, I'm playing with words as my skill allows me, exactly like I do in Russian, but having much lesser experience. From that derives inevitability of syntactic and speech blunders (hello article, my old friend), as well as probability of unprofessional, nonliterary stylistic errors.
